FIRST FRIDAY
Our new year 25/26 has begun and we’re starting it off with our First Friday event on Friday, September 5th from 6:00 to 8:00pm!
We are in luck again this year! Oscar Rivera and Delia Gonzales have graciously invited us to celebrate the first First Friday of the year at their ‘Ranchito’!
This will be our second First Friday event at their home. Just to remind everyone and to introduce our new members to their property: The property has been featured twice on the Whittier Garden Tour, and on the Year Around Garden Club Garden Tour. The Whittier Daily News ‘Hidden Treasures’ Video also featured the property a few years back. The home is constructed of unreinforced adobe brick with original mosaic tiling throughout the house. You will enjoy seeing the River of Life theme featured throughout the interior and exterior. Remember to wear casual clothes and flat shoes. It’s a real treat that we will be able to enjoy ourselves among native trees and plants!
Friends are always welcomed!
Just remember to bring something sweet or savory and your choice of beverage for everyone’s enjoyment.
